The mechanical and environmental stresses operated during the periods of exposure and use of the works have caused widespread and different phenomena of degradation of physical and mechanical type.
Restoration phases
Disassembly of the packaging to access the back of the fabrics to be restored.
Elimination of the particle deposit on the front and back of all fabrics by a micro-aspirator with controlled speed and protective filter nets.
Cleaning of the base fabric and embroideries using neutral pH sponges and brushes soaked in hydroalcoholic solutions.
Reconstruction of the degraded decorations, fixing of the metallic yarns and application of micro-protective net to protect the most degraded areas.
