The project was designed and made for the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, in Assisi.<\/p>\n<p>The geometric decoration of the orphreys draws inspiration from the vaults of the Basilica&#8217;s side chapels, reinterpreting their forms through an essential, contemporary textile language. Set within the composition are brass plaques with a gold galvanic finish, depicting the scenes of the altarpiece of the Porziuncola.<\/p>\n<p>Each plaque was designed and modelled with the utmost care, reproducing in the smallest detail the fourteenth-century paintings of the altarpiece and transforming them into precious three-dimensional reliefs that dialogue harmoniously with the entire vestment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chasuble made in cream silk-blend fabric with fine lurex threads.
